Julka is sackboy which came from Japan.
One of my friends bought me her as a gift. He said: I really had to buy it for you. But why? I don’t remember.
Unfortunately when he came back from his scholarship in the Far East, I was in the Netherlands on my Erasmus. So my friends stared to make photos with Julka (they called her my name because they missed me so much;-) and send them to me. And when I came back to Warsaw for Christmas holidays in 2008, I just had to take photos with Julka for my Erasmus friends. That’s how the story started.
Julka became photo project. Mostly inspired by film “Le Fabuleux destin d’Amelie Poulain” and dwarf motive.
Now she’s travelling all around the world, with me or my friends, and have photos with everybody whose going with her and with every famous sites she’s visiting.

Who am I?
I’m Julia Chyla, 24-old archaeology student , from Warsaw (Poland).
I started this project especially for people who think that they don’t need travelling. Thanks to that project I want to show that we all are connected and every culture has the same value. I hope that Julka will learn people tolerance and understanding each others. I hope that my project will determinate people to learn about different countries and their cultures.
If you want to contact with me, please write: julia.chylaATgmail.com
